Being great at finding jobs is not necessarily a good thing. You say, OK, yeah right. How could that be bad? Well, I’ll tell you. I’ve never been afraid to resign from my job as I’ve never had a problem getting one which means that I’ve moved around A LOT. When I was young, my generation heard our parents and grandparents talk about their careers with one or, perhaps, two companies during their lifetimes; however, my generation believed that (in fact, the media confirmed) that the days of one company employment were over and the modern employee was free to jump from company to company dragging along a 401k account rather than a pension that tied one to a single employer. The media confirmed this new “employee” lauding the value of being free to hop from one opportunity to a better one. And I bought into it hook, line and sinker to my ultimate detriment.
